It's not even particularly complicated, Ratchet can boil down to the "impulsive, hot-headed hero" while Clank can boil down to the "logical and reserved partner." Rivet and Kit don't really have that X-factor that makes them engrossing to watch, it doesn't help that Rivet is already a full-blooded hero by the time we meet her. It's not fair to compare as Ratchet and Clank have had years of history and like ten other games to flesh out their dynamic, but even in the very first game the two bounce off of each other in a very interesting, yet immediately understandable fashion. You think of other iconic duos, pairs who are perfect foils for each other, picking up where the other lacks and complimenting each other's strengths, and it begs the question of why we're supposed to be engrossed in Rivet and Kit's story. So much for being a huge Ratchet and Clank fan.Rivet and Kit have no real dynamic, or chemistry for that matter. And second, it'll definitely take a long time, maybe years, for Insomniac to make another "Ratchet and Clank" game, but I just (inwardly) can't bare to wait. I know there aren't that many copies of "Rift Apart" because there's rarely any PS5 in stock and a lot of people out there are still dying for one, specially the long-time fans and newcomers of "Ratchet and Clank," which is pretty much the main reason to get a PS5. I'm already dying for another "Ratchet and Clank" game, but at the same time, I'm just too pushy. ^^ □ I'll still be playing "Rift Apart" I just like that game as much as "Tools of Destruction," and there's a bunch of fun stuff in the game that the other "Ratchet and Clank" games don't really have, even though my initial excitement about "Rift Apart" is basically gone because I've beaten the game a few times now, but that won't stop me from keeping on playing the game. ![]() In the meantime, enjoy this screenshot of Rivet winking at a civilian she saved from a Nefarious Trooper at the beginning of the game. If only I have a PS5 of my own, so I can put it up in my room, I could take screenshots all I want without "butting heads" and transfer them quick with ease (and precautions, as I still need to know how to transfer the screenshots to the USB Drive and then to my laptop properly). But "only problem" is I'll be "negotiating" with my dad again because of the hassle of transferring the screenshots to the USB Drive and then to my laptop. And I've also taken two other screenshots before the final fight of Ratchet, Clank, and Rivet hanging out at Zurkie's while messing around with Photo Mode. So I'll just have to go on YouTube, go on the all cutscenes video, and pause it right at when Ratchet goes all like "hasta la vista, baby" with the Dimensionator in his hand and shoots a rift at Emperor Nefarious, and then screenshot it there no problem (but at the same time I maybe just wanted to see Ratchet in an armor like the yellow Scavenger/Robot Pirate Armor I put on him). ![]() I meant to take a screenshot of Ratchet doing the hasta la vista baby pose with the Dimensionator in his hand after he caught it when I defeated Emperor Nefarious as Rivet, but I still didn't get it in time when I pressed the screencap/share button on the controller to pause at the right time. I just beat "Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart" the third time!! OMG!! That game is just so fun for a new, standalone game on a new system!!
